Who We Are

Tree Haus Creative Studios is the brainchild/passion project of artists Austin Linkinhoker (aka SHOKKA) and Souther Recio. The pair met in college where they developed a relationship built around working together and making art. They hosted markets in and around the city of Austin Texas, and eventually moved to Houston with the goal of starting their own creative studio space. Tree Haus Creative was born in their tiny garage apartment and has since grown into a full fledged screen printing shop and creative studio.

History

THC Studios started out with a small hand-me-down printing press, set up in the middle of our living room in ATX. We had no idea what we were doing but we did it anyway. Do512 were some of the first people who believed in us and let us set up to do live screen printing at their annual summer film series. We learned SO much about the printing process from that opportunity. There were several failures along the way that led us to THC. If you’re an OG you might remember Moxy Makers and Sew Fresh. It took us years to acquire the full set up to run a functional screen printing shop, and before that we borrowed equipment, knowledge, and shop space from the UT print shop, Raw Paw, Kaelin Customs, and Goose Prints. A huge shout out to those guys!
